Hypnotherapy can successfully treat Shy bladder or  paruresis:

Shy bladder, bashful bladder or paruresis:

Shy bladder affects many more people than you would imagine. Shy bladder is a fear of urinating and can affect both men and women. Shy bladder is when you are desperate to go to the toilet but you are unable to urinate in the (real or imaginary) presence of others, such as in a public toilet. The delay of urination or even the complete inability to urinate in public toilets is inconvenient, embarrassing and potentially painful.

Shy bladder can have highly restricting effects on your life. You may be reluctant to travel far from your home, or you are unable to urinate in your own home if someone else is there and they would be able to hear you. Shy bladder may prevent you from attending social events. Shy bladder is often linked to feelings of social anxiety.

Shy bladder can also be referred to as bashful bladder or pee shyness but its clinical name is paruresis.

Sarah specialises in Pure Hypnoanalysis:

Sarah specialises in a unique type of hypnotherapy known as Pure Hypnoanalysis or analytical therapy. Hypnoanalysis treats the root cause of the problem rather than managing the symptoms. Shy bladder is linked to social phobia:

Shy bladder is linked to social phobia. Social phobia is one of the most common phobias there is. Social phobia is a fear of being judged or being put on the spot. This includes feelings of social anxiety and a pervasive fear of any situation where you are likely to feel judged, or a fear of any embarrassing or humiliating situation where you feel that you are being put on the spot.

The following are some typical examples:  - a fear of public speaking, interviews, singing, dinner parties, stuttering, eating in public, or being put on the spot in any way at all. Associated with this phobia are symptoms of sensitivity to criticism, a negative self image, blushing, trying too hard to please others, sexual performance anxiety, shy bladder, fear of rejection, fear of writing in front of someone (even signing a cheque), shy bladder (not being able to pee when on the spot) this mainly affects men, repeated failure of driving test  due to performance anxiety, persistent fear of failure, difficulty in being assertive and feelings of inferiority. In general a social phobic is always worried about how others view them and what others think of them.

 How Pure Hypnoanalysis can help:

Shy bladder is not a rational behaviour and therefore it is not open to intellectual thought and understanding. The underlying factor of shy bladder is emotional (often anxiety based) and only a therapy that truly deals with resolving the emotions that cause your shy bladder can remove it.

Pure Hypnoanalysis aims to find the originating cause (the unconscious conflict) of shy bladder and release it - and when the emotions are released, the symptom of shy bladder will be significantly reduced or disappear.
